You Can't Label Me
Do you read labels? Food labels, that is. If you do read food labels than you are on the right track. Sort of. If you are reading food labels to make healthier choices than that is a step in the right direction. The best thing to do with food labels though is to choose foods without labels, meaning avoid processed foods. Shop the "outside" of the grocery store. The aisles in the middle are generally full of processed foods that contain preservatives, High Fructose Corn Syrup, additives, food dyes/food coloring, high sodium content -- the list goes on! So find the foods that can't be labeled -- eat whole foods whenever possible (and organic is always best) -- and notice the difference in how you feel. Try it!
